Community Description:Historical embroidery, mostly focusing on the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
This is a community for historical embroidery -- questions, resources, projects, etc -- primarily focused on the period 500-1600 CE ("SCA period"), although posts about earlier and later periods are okay. Suggestions for new interests always welcome.

This community is NOT limited to Western European embroidery techniques. Feel free to discuss Persian, Turkish, Indian, Chinese, Russian, or anything else, as long as it can be classified as "historical."
